Nissan Armada & Titan with K&N FIPK Air Intake System Offers Guaranteed Horsepower
- 4 ene 2005
RIVERSIDE, CA - Nissan's first-ever full-size trucks have received rave reviews. K&N Engineering makes the 2005 to 2014 Nissan Armada SUV, 2004 Nissan Pathfinder, the impressive 2004 to 2014 Nissan Titan truck and the 2004 through 2010 Infiniti QX56 even more hype-worthy with the introduction of their High-Flow Fuel Injection Performance Kit, or FIPK® (Part No. 57-6012). K&N engineers were able to unleash extra power and torque by eliminating the restrictive OE airbox and intake tract, replacing them with the FIPK® Kit. Testing on K&N's Dynojet 248 dynamometer established a baseline of 254.07 HP on a stock 2004 Pathfinder 4x4. With the K&N FIPK® Kit installed, the same vehicle averaged 265.28 HP, an increase of more than 11 horsepower!
Each K&N Intake Kit is engineered to virtually eliminate incoming-air restrictions. The process begins by choosing the largest conical K&N High-Flow Air Filter that will easily fit in the engine compartment. The filter's design increases airflow and its size traps more dirt, increasing service intervals up to 100,000 miles (depending on driving conditions). K&N High-Flow Air Filters are backed by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty® and can be repeatedly cleaned and re-oiled with a K&N Recharger® Kit (sold separately).
To further increase power, the filter is isolated from high engine temperatures by a heatshield. Also, K&N aerodynamically engineers the FIPK's intake tube specifically for the Armada/Titan using roto-molded high-density polyethylene, allowing the tube to be optimally shaped for minimize turbulence and improved airflow. The FIPK® includes a mass-airflow sensor adapter that's strategically placed to work with factory equipment while permitting increased power.
Installation is purely bolt-on and uses factory holes: No drilling is required, and the average do-it-yourselfer can replace the stock airbox and intake tract with an FIPK® using only common hand tools in about 90 minutes. The kit comes complete with all mounting hardware, nylon-reinforced silicon hose adapters and stainless-steel barrel clamps. The FIPK® for the Armada, Pathfinder, Titan and QX56 is street-legal in most states.
K&N also offers two replacement filters for the stock Armada/Titan: a washable/reusable High-Flow Air Filter (PN 33-2286) and a Performance Gold Oil Filter (PN HP-1010).
