“Yeah, it means a lot, first of all to finally win at Charlotte for one, then to win the All-Star Race,” Busch said. “It's an exciting race. This race was kind of born off of exciting events that were in the race, bold moves, things like that. We did one of those tonight to win the race”. The race, which did not count towards the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Standings, was still very critical for all the drivers. Busch of course, the winner of the race and the $1 million, and Chase Elliott who was voted into the race by the fans. Busch led once for ten laps. Kyle Larson finished in second place, the winner of the first stage of the race, passed Johnson on the final lap. Larson would have been leading the race on the final restart, but a maintenance issue caused him to drop three spots. “Yeah, that sucks,” Larson said. “But we had a dominant car all race. I thought initially our pit crew struggled that last stop. Our jack post on the right side broke off at some point throughout the race. So the jackman had to make a couple more pumps to get the car up. It slowed the stop down enough that we got beat off pit road by three cars. That was kind of the difference in the race for us.”
“Competitive night for us,” Johnson said. “When the race first started, seemed like there was a little less grip. As the sun continued to go down, the track picked up some grip. We never really ran long enough to try the high lane and make up any time on it.” The Standings in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series remain the same, with Kyle Larson leading with 475 points and 7 playoff points. Martin Truex Jr. is in second place with 431 points and 15 playoff points. Brad Keselowski is in third with 408 points and 12 playoff points. The next race in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race will be the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Well, good things come in threes with K&N, too. The K&N YA-0116 direct replacement air filter embodies the big three in the filtration world – performance, protection, and convenience. Let’s start with performance. The YA-0116 is designed to provide increased horsepower and acceleration. That potential performance increase comes as a direct result of the increased airflow that the pleated, cotton gauze filter element provides. Clearly, effective engine protection is vital for the YXZ1000R as the Yamaha is an emerging king of the dirt. Putting anything but a filter that is specifically designed for the brutal conditions of the track, trail, or dune is just unwise.
Finally, the YA-0116 is one of the easiest and most convenient modifications you can make on your YXZ1000R. The filter comes pre-oiled and ready to install in the factory air box. It should also be noted that the YA-0116 is designed to require no fuel management modification. It’s the plug and play filter of the performance UTV world. When it’s time to recharge the filter after a dusty day of driving, that process is made simple with the use of a K&N service kit like the 99-5000. The YA-0116 comes with a one year limited warranty.
The K&N YA-0116 fits the following vehicles: 2017 YAMAHA YXZ1000R SS SE 998 - All Models

The K&N YA-1015 is a direct replacement air filter that requires no mapping or fuel injection modification. While the YA-1015 is designed for street use, it is still engineered to provide increased horsepower and torque. The pleated cotton gauze media in the YA-1015 features a large filtration area to provide more airflow to the R1’s thirsty inline four cylinder power-plant. That increase in air can result in crisper throttle response and enhanced overall performance. Of course, performance results will vary by application and specific motorcycle. On the street, performance is not the only goal. The YA-1015 offers top-notch filtration. The multiple layers of oil-impregnated filter media provide effective and reliable engine protection. In K&N’s controlled testing, the YA-1015 achieved an estimated overall filtration efficiency of well over 98%. See the test data link on the product page for more details.
If your Yamaha R1 is used as a full race bike or a track-day mount, the YA-1015R is your top performance option. The YA-1015R has just two layers of cotton to provide even lower air restriction than its street-oriented brother. The YA-1015R is designed for racing and track applications, and is not for street use. Unlike K&N’s direct-replacement filter elements, fuel management modifications will be necessary with this racing filter. However, when combined with mapping changes, the YA-1015R will help you get the most out of your competition R1. While this is a closed course only filter, it still features K&N’s legendary washability and reusability making it a long-term performance enhancement for the R1. The K&N 99-5000 filter care service kit makes cleaning easy for both K&N R1 filters. The YA-1015R comes with a one year limited warranty. So now you have a choice in the level of filtration and performance you need from your R1 air filter. Street pilots will want the YA-1015 and track guys can opt for the YA-1015R. Of course, if you have onboard fuel mapping software, you could easily switch between the two if your street bike doubles as your track-day tool.
