KTM-Sportmotorcycle AG is a highly respected, and increasingly popular Austrian motorcycle manufacturer. KTM achieved notoriety in the early days of off-road racing with innovative motorcycles and many championships.
Financial difficulties in the early nineties forced the company to file for bankruptcy and resulted in a three-part division of its separate manufacturing branches. Reinvented as KTM-Sportmotorcycle AG in 1994, the company set out to revive its off-road dominance as well as penetrate the street motorcycle market.
KTM’s first on-road motorcycle to roll off the assembly line was the 1994 620 Duke. The Duke was based on KTM’s highly successful LC4 enduro motorcycles. The Duke featured street tires, a small fairing, and dual exhaust. KTM essentially created its own market segment with the Duke by manufacturing the first factory Supermoto machine.
Through the years the Duke has evolved into more of a street machine than pure Supermoto bike. However, KTM has in no way alienated Supermoto enthusiasts. Here to answer that call is the Duke’s paternal-twin, the KTM 690 SMC Supermoto. Born of the same womb, but not identical, the 690 Supermoto is what you get when you mix a dirtbike with a sportbike.
The 2007-2009 KTM 690 SMC Supermoto and 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 KTM 690 Duke models are both very versatile and powerful motorcycles. K&N has released a new washable/reusable high-flow air filter (KT-6907) to meet the demands of these machines and their owners.
This high-flow replacement air filter is washable/reusable, pre-oiled and ready to ride. K&N’s KT-6907 is specifically designed to fit into the stock air filter assembly of 2007-2009 KTM 690 SMC Supermoto and 2008-2012 KTM 690 Duke models with 654 cc engines.
K&N high-flow replacement motorcycle air filters are performance designed to provide increased airflow, resulting in increased horsepower and torque while providing excellent filtration. Fuel management modifications to your KTM are not necessary to obtain increased performance.
Covered by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty®, and made in the USA, K&N’s KT-6907 will be the last air filter your motorcycle will ever need.
