Sprint Car Driver Dominic Scelzi Races 360 Class with Future Plans in 410 Sprint Car Class
- Apr 25, 2013
Passing on the love of going fast to his then six-year-old son, father Gary purchased the boy a GoKart. Within weeks, young Dominic missed only one race of his first racing season, winning all 7 races he competed in, earning the young prodigy the class championship.
Although living much of his childhood on the road, the Fresno, CA native – now 12 years old – moved into the Super 600 class where – at the age of 12 – racked up an impressive 24 feature wins and the track championship at Lemoore Raceway. Currently, Dominic still competes in the Super 600 class but focuses mainly on his 360 Sprint Car. The plan is to complete this year in the 360 Sprint Car, and hopefully move up into the 410 Sprint Car class for much of next year. When it came to choosing K&N for his cars, Dominic said, “My dad used K&N products on my GoKart in 2003, and has continued to use K&N products ever since. The reusable air filters keep the motors clean so they will last longer.” Find K&N products for your vehicle using the K&N application search then use the K&N dealer search to find a K&N dealer in your part of the world.
