Rich Tobias, owner of Speedway Entertainment, offers affordable racing technology that really gets results. Tobias created the Slingshots racing division to show that affordable racing can be competitive and exciting. Speedway Entertainment is currently the home to the fastest growing class of race cars in the United States today. It has been ten years since the launch of the "Slingshot by Tobias" class and counts have grown to over 400 cars being raced in 17 states. The Slingshots are a 39 horsepower vehicle powered by a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine capable of speeds near 100 MPH.

They are designed to look like the dirt track modifieds that are popular in the northeast. The SpeedSTR's are powered by a Dodge Neon engine and have 250 horsepower propelling the 1,100 pound open wheel cars around the speedways.
Speedway Entertainment is already in the middle of an exciting 2010 season. "This year has seen the addition of some solid driving talents such as Mario Page, Gabriele Richer, and Freddie Rahmer Jr., along with 2 women in the series, Kaitie McCardle, the winner of the 2009 K&N Challenge and Brittany Wixon," says Tobias.

"Our racing schedule has added some historic venues in the northeast region that includes Oswego Speedway, Grandview Speedway, New Egypt Speedway, Cayuga County Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and Shangri LA II Speedway."
"The Cars and Stars of the International SpeedSTR series has grown to over 40 cars in just 2 short years," says Tobias. The SpeedSTRs at this time race primarily in the northeast US and Canada on both pavement and dirt with a turnkey price tag of $18,000.00.
The SpeedSTR series prides itself in providing their teams with safe and reliable race cars. "Reliability is a must while trying to get the most performance out of the race car," says Tobias. "We require all racers to use K&N RD-0620 Air Filters on their cars and we recommend them using the K&N oil filters as well."
