Air filter number 38-2024S is an engineering marvel that is sure to impress even the most demanding drivers. This air filter features a radial seal that utilizes a rubber flange. This design seals the filter with precision to air inlet tubes that have an outside diameter of 7 7/8" inches. K&N's 38-2024S air filter has a top outside diameter of 12 3/4" inches and is constructed of a metal material protected by a highly durable black powder coat finish. In addition to a heavy duty finish the top features a handle that aids the installation and removal of the air filter for servicing. The air filters height of 16 5/16" inches is supported on both sides of the filtration media by a heavy duty wire screen. One of the most fantastic features of this air filter is the filtration media. The media is comprised of a non-woven synthetic material that provides phenomenal filtration and engine protection, while at the same time giving heavy duty engines the air flow needed to do the job effectively and efficiently. The synthetic media is also directional. The S in part number 38-2024S stands for standard flow, this filter is designed for applications where air flows from the outside of the filter into the center of the filter, then through the mounting flange and into the engine.
