Rock Crawlers Drop a Landmine at We-Rock Round Two in Cedar City, Utah
- May 11, 2009
We Rock racers Brad and Roger Lovell were ready to set a benchmark at Round two of the competition in Cedar City, Utah.
The Lovell brothers were the only Pro-Modified team to finish all the courses on the first day for a 24 point lead. The second day was intense because a radio problem caused their No. 232 Ranger to hit a couple of cones on the first run. The cone penalty cost the Lovell brothers their huge lead.

On the next day, they were determined to regain the lead. They hit the courses just right and remained upright and between the cones. “I knew it was going to be tight,” said Brad Lovell. “I was really worked up about the additional points we could make if we conquered a bonus climb no one had finished. I was asking anyone and everyone if we should try it. We did and that is the only reason we had the lead again. It was a good gamble.”
The lead was so good that Brad and Roger Lovell took home their second We-Rock win of the season and a strong lead in the 2009 series. The Lovell brothers use K&N products. “There is a lot of debris on the We-Rock courses,” said Lovell. “Our K&N air filters keep the silt and fine dust out of our engines. K&N also prevents our sensors from clogging.”
Brad and Roger Lovell are preparing to race the legendary Baja 500 in June.
