Rallycross Driver Adds Belgian and Dutch Events to Full 2007 Schedule
- Mar 14, 2007
Rallycross driver Chris Cake plans to compete in selected rounds of the 2007
Belgian and Dutch Rallycross Championship along with the 2007 LINGsCARS.com
Rallycross Open Championship. His team will travel to Valkenswaard, Netherlands
on March 25 to participate in test day before competing in the Dutch Rallycross
Championship on April 15.
Some of the best drivers in the UK will also travel to both Belgium and Holland and will be joined by Stock Hatch and Minicross drivers from the MDA Rallycross Championship.
"With the double British weekend this year in Belgium and Holland, it makes sense for us to gain as much knowledge as we can against the top European competitors," said Chris Cake. "We will use both the test and race day to learn more. The European Rallycross in France will also be a big test and it looks like fellow Open Championship competitor Mad Mark will be at the event with his Citroen Xsara."
There are four divisions within the Rallycross Open Series, Division 1, Super National, Open Series 2000 and the Evo Challenge. K&N Engineering is an associate sponsor of the Rallycross Open Championship Races. The majority of the vehicles in this circuit are equipped with K&N Filters.
