K&N's Track Proven Technology Enhances Performance For 2008 to 2010 Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja Sportbikes
- Nov 6, 2009
In 2008 the ZX-10R Ninja was redesigned. Technology born on the racetrack found its way down to Kawasaki’s line up of street machines. Changes include a revised 998 cc 16-valve liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine, a new chassis, and new suspension. All this combines to make the
2008-2010 Kawasaki ZX-10R a potent race-ready machine.
Here to help the ZX-10R stand out from the on track competition is K&N’s new race specific air filter (KA-1008R) designed to increase performance in 2008, 2009 and 2010 Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja models.
K&N’s line of race specific air filters are designed for asphalt racing only. They are not intended for dirt track, off-road or highway use. Part number KA-1008R is very different from its stock replacement air filter counter part (KA-1008).
KA-1008R incorporates two-ply cotton media in a special pleat pattern to be less restrictive, providing extra airflow. As a result this K&N racing air filter increases horsepower and acceleration for the racetrack.
K&N part number KA-1008R will fit directly inside your OE air box assembly. No cutting or fitting modifications are required to install this filter, but fuel management modifications will be necessary to obtain optimum performance.
K&N air filters are washable and reusable. K&N’s KA-1008R is warranted against defective workmanship for one year after the date of purchase with no mileage limitation.
For 2008 to 2010 ZX-10R motorcycles used in normal non-racing environments, K&N recommends its four-layer OE replacement air filter, part number KA-1008 for excellent engine protection and air flow.
K&N also offers a line of performance oil filters for use on and off the racetrack. Our canister style oil filters feature high flow rates, a heavy-duty canister, high burst strength and a 17mm wrench-off nut that is pre-drilled for safety wire attachment. K&N oil filters are ideal for race applications, hard to reach oil filters, high-performance engines, and use with synthetic oils. This makes the 2008 to 2010 ZX-10R Ninja an ideal candidate for part number KN-303.
