K&N dynamometer tests show a 15.42 horsepower gain at 2911 RPM with the 57-3000. This air intake system has a lid that goes on top of the heat shield and includes a full air box.
The K&N air intake system filters harmful dirt and debris from entering the engines of these diesel work trucks. The heat shield isolates the K&N air filter (RC-5139) from the engine heat. This in turn keeps a cooler air charge going into the engine for an instant power gain. No other modifications are necessary.
The high flow technology invented by K&N and made in the USA provides the best balance of airflow and filtration. The RC-5139 is also washable and reusable and can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is necessary.
