The Primetime Team had another busy week of campaigning cars for a triple race weekend. Feinberg entered the Road America American Le Mans Series GT2 race at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin with a four point deficit to take the lead.
“There was no previous setup information for the No. 7 Elan DP-02 on the four-mile track,” said Primetime Marketing Manager Britoni Burdett. “As a result the team spent the two practice days trying to find the best balance between aerodynamic speed and mechanical grip.”
The team made sure they were ready when it was time for qualifying. During the twenty minute session to determine track position, Feinberg recorded a lap time of 2:06.6 with an average lap speed of over 115 mph. “He not only took the pole position, he did it by more than a full second better than the competition,” said Burdett. “Joel also set a new IMSA Lites track record that held up for the entire weekend.”
This was a no mistakes double header race for Feinberg. He started from the front of the pack and set the pace for the start of the race. There were several restarts and the ultra technical track took two prisoners. “The fastest corner of the track claimed the No. 12 and the No. 79 cars,” said Burdett. “This caused a full course caution that would take 2-3 laps behind the pace car to clean up.”
On the race restart, Feinberg was passed in turn one when the No. 13 car pulled a draft on the long straightaway. “Joel regained his position within the next lap,” said Burdett. “It happened before another two car incident which called for a full course caution.”
With only seven minutes left in the race it ended under caution. Feinberg took his fourth win of the year as well as the overall point lead in the series and team championship.
“A win is a win,” said Feinberg. “I knew I had the best car on the track and I knew what I had to do to stay ahead of these guys.”
On the second race day, Feinberg took the lead and clinched his 5th win of the season as well as a 31 point lead for the driver championship.

The day was not over for the Fort Lauderdale, Floridian. Immediately after the podium ceremony, Feinberg went to the race grid for the feature American Le Mans Series race with Primetime’s GT2 Dodge Viper.
Co-driver Chris Hall took the helm for the start of the race and maintained a consistent pace for most of the race. He held on to his 8th in class position until finding his way into the gravel in turn six. Unfortunately this put the No. 11 Viper a lap down to the field and in an unlikely position to make up the deficit.
With only 90 minutes remaining, Feinberg took over and turned his best laps of the week. His Viper was faster than any of the other American made race cars with the fast lap of the race at 2:11.1. The No. 11 ultimately took the checkered 19th in class.
