The Bluewater Resort & Casino Parker 425 can trace its roots back to 1972 in the early days of off-road desert racing. Best In The Desert, Inc. (BITD), owned and operated by Casey Folks, has kept this legendary race alive. The 2015 Parker 425 hosted racers ranging from UTV sportsman classes, to pro classes open to vehicles similar to SCORE Trophy Trucks. The annual race was held on February 6th, 2015 and claims to be the only off-road race in America to start on the street.
Dr. Macrae Glass, a chiropractor based in Kingman, Arizona, drives his Class 8000 Modified Production Full Size Truck in the Best In The Desert series. Dr. Glass is no stranger to racing the BITD series, or to winning. Glass has accrued 7 class championships, 5 of which were consecutive wins. Macrae races with his two sons Robby and Walker, named after famous off-road racers. For the 2015 Bluewater Resort & Casino Parker 425, Macrae teamed up with legendary racer Curt LeDuc to share driving duties of the KC HiLites/General Tire Ford 150.
Macrae Glass credits his sponsors for his win and said “Our new King Shocks probably sealed the deal on speed this time around, as we ran 90 mph through 3 foot chop along Shea Road”
