Divine 1 Customs Brings Celebrity Chef Tim Love’s Toyota Tundra to 2014 SEMA Show
- Nov 25, 2014
Prominently featured inside the official Toyota Motor Sales, USA 2014 SEMA show booth was a 2014 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition pickup like no other on the planet. For those that don’t know, the 1794 Edition Toyota Tundra is the highest trim level Tundra available from the factory. The next question that follows is probably “Where did Toyota come up with the name 1794 Edition?” Well the answer requires a bit of a lesson in Texas history. The Toyota plant where the Tundra and Tacoma are built near San Antonio lies on a large plot of land purchased from the oldest working cattle ranch in the state of Texas. The JLC Ranch was founded by Spanish colonist Juan Ignacio de Casanova in 1794, hence name 1794 Edition.
According to celebrity Chef Tim Love’s website he is often considered an informal ambassador for Texas. Chef Tim Love is a national spokesperson for Hellmann’s Mayonnaise and Thomas’ English Muffins and serves as host of CNBC’s newest show Restaurant Startup. Chef Tim Love opened his first restaurant in the historic Stockyards district of Ford Worth, Texas in 2000. As a true Texan who loves Dallas Cowboys football and the Texas Rangers, it seems only fitting that Love would drive a truck built in and named after the history of the Lone Star State.
For a professional chef who lives by the motto “Eat, Drink, & Live Well”, an ordinary tailgating experience just wouldn’t suffice. This is exactly why Chef Tim Love worked with the build team from Divine 1 Customs out of Henderson, Nevada. Divine 1 Customs has been in the business of frame-off restoration and custom builds for the last ten years. Divine 1 Customs is a one stop shop specializing in custom fabrication, paint and body work, suspension, audio, video, and security systems. The Divine 1 Customs website states “We begin with a dream and make it a reality.”
The Tim Love 2014 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition truly is a dream come true for hardcore sports fans and tailgaters. With the push of a button the fully motorized Leer camper shell lifts up and out of the way to reveal a 27” Solaire grill, cutting boards, and a two taps for beer or wine. All this slides out of the Tim Love Tundra’s bed to create a backyard grill away from home feel. Also inside the bed are two 24” Samsung LED HD TV’s and an additional 40” Samsung screen hooked into a PlayStation 4, and Apple TV. Sound comes from a full Rockford Fosgate Audio System comprised of three pairs of 6.5” full-range speakers, two 10” subwoofers, and three amplifiers equipped with Bluetooth, iPod, USB, and 3.5 mm inputs. Chef Tim Love officially revealed his truck at the recent University of Alabama and University of Tennessee game at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee before taking the truck to the 2014 SEMA show. If you find yourself at a Texas sporting event, keep an eye out for Chef Tim Love in the parking lot. As a true sports fan, Tim Love will probably be nearby tailgating in his Divine 1 Customs built Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition pickup.
