2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Scion tC Owners Gain 8 HP Boost with K&N Air Intake System
- Feb 29, 2008
Scion has designed it's 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 tC for the tuner market. Its steering and suspension
have a European bias. In fact it's platform is shared with a Toyota
model that is sold in Europe. The panoramic glass moon roof is standard along
with an updated audio system that is mounted on the steering wheel.
K&N Engineering has released a high flow air intake system (69-8614TS) with a powder coated silver tube for the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Scion tC 2.4 liter engine. The low maintenance metallic finish gives this K&N system an OE appearance.

Along with good looks comes additional performance for the engine. K&N dynamometer tests show an 8.09 horsepower gain for the 2007 Scion tC at 5466 RPM. The mandrel bent tube ensures incoming air has a smooth unrestricted path to the engine.
The factory fresh air duct routes outside air to the inside area of a powder coated steel heat shield, directly toward the K&N lifetime round tapered universal air filter (RU-4860). This allows the engine to breathe more efficiently, resulting in an immediate power gain over the factory system.
The RU-4860 mounts within the heat shield, and provides virtually unrestricted airflow as it provides superior filtration. Washable and reusable, this K&N air filter can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required.
The 69-8614TS has lower restriction than the factory air box, is designed to improve engine performance and is easy to install, usually in 90 minutes or less. All you need for installation are a couple screwdrivers, a socket set, pliers and an allen wrench. An illustrated instruction sheet is included to help guide you through each step.
The entire intake system is covered by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty
