Silver Dollar Speedway and Ocean Speedway are Good Venues for Jonathan Allard

Sprint car racer Jonathan Allard won his fourth feature of the season at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California. Qualifying was the fastest it had been all season at Allard’s home track.

Six drivers, including Allard were able to make the record breaking times during the Feather Falls Casino Point Race. In the 25 lap feature Allard took over the lead on lap three in the K&N Filters No.6 car and took the win.

Allard and Williams Motorsports scored another top-five win a few days later at the Golden State Challenge Series in Watsonville, California. In the 30-lap feature the track was very dry with a tough surface. It had turned into a one lane expressway on the bottom.

On lap four, Allard lost a spot to Brett Miller to fall back to sixth, but by lap nine he made it to fifth place. On lap 17, Allard was able to get Jim Skinner and move into fourth place where he finished the competition.

We use K&N Engineering Oil and Air Filters along with K&N’s Carbon Fiber Air Box,” said Allard. “K&N makes the best products, the oil and air filters are easy to use and maintain. We just wash, assemble and race and we never have to worry about performance.”

The Defending Golden State Champion is now third in GSC Series points. His next race will be the Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial at Silver Dollar Speedway. He has a very good chance of becoming the first ever four-time winner of the Dave Bradway Jr. race.

British Superbike Series Goes Well for UK Brothers on Yamaha Bikes

Harrison Brothers Racing had a solid points weekend in the 3rd round of the Derby Phoenix MCC Pre Injection 600cc Championship at Mallory Park in the UK.

“I was in 4th place position during race one and tried to pass the riders in front,” said Richie Harrison. “As we went into the last lap I was blocked by two riders. I was mad and went into the hairpin turn too hard and missed an apex. At the flag I was 9th. I returned to the pits fuming with myself. I calmed down and realized that I scored some points.”

In race two Harrison had a good run and was able to hold off most of the pack. “On the penultimate lap I used my position as we peeled down the track,” he said. “I was able to hold everyone off to the flag and also more points on the board.”

Harrison is running a 2000 Yamaha R in the Derby Phoenix MCC Pre Injection F600cc Championship. His younger brother Jonathan is running a 2006 Yamaha R1 in the Metzeler Racetec National Superstock Cup which is a support race to the British Superbike Series.

“Both bikes have K&N Air Filters,” said Harrison. “Both bikes are running extremely well with K&N. I have no worries with K&N and I can depend on the air filters to work at every race.”

For 2007 Jonathan Harrison hopes to be running in the top 15 during the season. “I hope to be in the top 3 and make it to the podium at the end of the year,” said Richie Harrison. “Currently I’m 4th in the series and hope to improve my position.”

Harrison Brothers Racing will be in rounds 4 and 5 at Cadwell Park in the UK on May 12th and 13th.

Brian Folk kicked off the team’s weekend by scoring a victory in Super Rod on day one of a two day event. Folk drove his Cavalier to a final round victory over Michael Hunt. He also knocked off former world champion Jimmy Lewis in the semi-final round and local standout Philip Wallen in the quarterfinals.

Not to be outdone, Nick Folk joined his brother Brian in the winners circle the next day. Nick Folk won his second Stock Eliminator victory of the season, driving his Camaro to the title over another former world champion.

“It’s a typical deal,” said Brian Folk. “We had a good weekend, but it could have been a lot better. We really struggled in Top Dragster, but we can’t complain, two wins against this level of competition is certainly a great weekend.

The Folk Racing Team uses K&N Products on all of their vehicles. “Our engine guys always brag about how clean our cylinder walls are due to the K&N Filters,” said Nick Folk. “K&N products protect all our engines from the debris on the race tracks.”

Brian and Nick Folk plan to test a few things on their cars this weekend, before going to back to back IHRA Racing weekends.

K&N Engineering has designed a cartridge oil filter (PS-7005) for the Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg, along with a variety of other makes and models. See the complete list of applications below.

K&N Oil Filters are built from the ground up to allow for high oil flow rates while providing excellent filtration. PS-7005 is 4.319 inches in height (110mm), weighs 0.3 pounds (0.1 kg) and has an outside diameter of 3.268 inches (83 mm).

There is an internal gasket to ensure a positive and continues seal. The replacement gasket also ensures a positive seal on the cartridge housing to the engine block. Simply remove the vehicle's oil filter housing and put the K&N cartridge and gasket in its place.

K&N's Cartridge Oil Filters are covered by a limited warranty to be free of defects in material and workmanship when installed and replaced using the engine and equipment manufacturers recommended service interval.
