Exotic looks and lightweight components separate the Ducati 1098 and 1098S from other superbikes available today. Engineered for optimum performance, a twin cylinder engine propels this sleek and aerodynamic motorcycle with ample power to spare. The Ducati 1098 design is a mix of supermoto, road bike, and race track technology and Ducati heritage. The result is a motorcycle with power, control, agility, and style like no other seen before.
K&N has designed a new high-flow air filter for 2007 to 2012 Ducati 1098 and 1098S, 2008 and 2009 Ducati 1098R and 848 motorcycles. The new DU-1007 air filter provides the Ducati 1098 and 1098S with excellent filtration, while at the same time allowing air to pass through the filter with little restriction. 0.80 ounces of K&N filter oil in four layers of premium cotton makes sure harmful dust and dirt particles are stopped. The DU-1007, like all K&N motorcycle air filters, is washable and reusable, and with proper care will deliver a lifetime of performance. It is also backed by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.
The DU-1007 will fit the following Ducati motorcycles:
The Kawasaki Vulcan is one of the most popular motorcycles in the cruiser market. With its massive 2053cc V-twin engine and 5 speed overdrive gearbox, the Vulcan produces instant excitement with every twist of the throttle. The rumble of the exhaust is strong and noticeable as the Vulcan glides down the road.
K&N has introduced a new lifetime air filter for 2004-2010 Kawasaki VN2000 Vulcan motorcycles. Part number KA-2008 replaces the OEM air filter inside the Vulcan’s chrome filter housing. The KA-2008 features K&N’s high-flow motorcycle filter technology, which allows the Vulcan’s big V-twin engine to breathe all the air it needs with little restriction. K&N’s oiled cotton filter media allows the perfect balance of airflow and filtration efficiency. When the filter becomes dirty, the KA-2008 is also washable and reusable, and can be cleaned with K&N motorcycle air filter cleaning products then reinstalled (instructions). The KA-2008 is backed by K&N’s Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Travis Kvapil of Yates Racing qualified seventh-fastest on Sunday at Daytona
International Speedway, with a bold move that locked him into the NASCAR Sprint
Cup Series at the Daytona 500.
Travis Kvapil is Preparing for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
The K&N Engineering sponsored racer earned best-in-class honors. Kvapil also
drove the
fastest in the K&N Filters No. 28 during time trials at Daytona.
“I was on the edge of my seat when Travis beat out nine other Fords and qualified with the fastest
Ford at Daytona,” said Charles Maier, sports marketing director of K&N
Engineering. “The memories of something very good happening from last year’s
Daytona Truck race and our new campaign in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series are coming back.”
K&N was the primary sponsor of Kvapil’s No. 6 Ford in the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series. In that series, Kvapil had four wins and secured 12 top-ten
finishes. “We believe that there is a special chemistry with K&N and Travis,”
said Maier. “When you look good you typically feel good and consequently perform
well. The car looks great and he makes it look so easy.”
The season opener for Kvapil will be the 50th running of the Daytona 500 on
February 17, 2008. “K&N is starting its second season with Travis,” said Maier.
“Here we are one year later as Travis begins the 2008 Cup season with Yates
Racing. We will remain on the edge of our seats here at K&N while Travis begins
the Twins on Thursday in the top 10.”

K&N Engineering designs and manufactures a wide variety of universal air filters for many different uses. Regardless of the shape or size, K&N probably has a universal air filter for your specific equipment needs.
K&N has released a new round tapered universal (cone) air filter, part number RU-5174. It was constructed with an ultra-strong pliable rubber flange which absorbs vibration and allows for secure attachment. K&N universal air filter flanges can stretch for up to 1/16 inch (1.5mm) to fit in-between sizes.
The RU-5174 is 5 in. (127 mm) in length with an outside base diameter of 6 inches (152 mm) and a rubber top that has an outside diameter of 5 in. (127 mm). The inside diameter of the flange is rather small at only 2.5 in. (64 mm). The flange length is 2 inches (51 mm) which allows plenty of room to clamp around many engine intakes. This universal air filter may be used for any application meeting these measurement requirements.
Because of its small flange diameter, the RU-5174 is ideal for smaller engines such as import cars with smaller intake tubes.
K&N Universal Air Filters are great for extended use in dirty and dusty conditions. The RU-5174, like all K&N Universal Filters, is a washable and reusable filter. It is designed to offer low restriction while providing excellent motor protection.
Monster Jam’s sell out crowds at stadiums in Detroit, Houston, San Diego,
Toronto, Minnesota, Florida and Washington State seem to fuel the connection
between drivers and the fans.

Despite the snow that stacked up outside the Prairie Capitol Center in
Springfield, Illinois Monster Jam once again packed the house to full
capacity. The crowd went crazy as Black Stallion, Iron Warrior, Full Boar, Bad
Habit and Scarlet Bandit gave them all the action they wanted.

The Monster wheelie competition was one of the biggest battles all weekend. Mike
Vaters started the action with the Black Stallion. Iron Warrior driven by Trey
Myers stood on its end and almost dragged the tailgates across the crushed cars,
but Black Stallion took the ultimate win. Vaters (aka The Godfather of Thunder
Nationals) also swept the wheelie competitions each day.
Vaters' competitive edge came out full boar in the main as he went head-to-head
with Dawn Creten driving Scarlet Bandit. All the monsters were fighting for a
spot in the finals and the racing was neck and neck. In the end Scarlet Bandit
put up a fight for the win but Black Stallion edged her out by a fraction every
round to sweep all three mains.
In the Monster Jam Donut Competition Scarlet Bandit and Black Stallion tied
until Vaters cranked it up and flew. Black Stallion took the win in the next two
donut rounds. The fight continued between the two monsters in the Monster
Freestyle Competition. “It got hot quick as Scarlet Bandit came out and cranked
it up so much that she ended up laying the monster on its side,” said Vaters. “I
was not going to be outdone and my Black Stallion completed destroyed the course
with every variation possible in freestyle.”
Black Stallion jumped the van stack forward, backwards and sideways for the win
in the final freestyle round. Black Stallion is equipped with K&N Engineering
injector and oil filters. “I use K&N because it protects my expensive engines,”
said Vaters. “K&N is tough enough to handle the Monster Truck scene.”
Vaters and his team head next to Winnipeg, Canada to rock the Monster Jam world
again.
