K&N has designed a new replacement air filter, 33-2920, that fits several Skoda Fabia, Octavia and Roomster models, Volkswagen Golf, Caddy and Polo models and Seat Ibiza, Altea and Cordoba models. These vehicles are found mostly in Europe. Detailed applications are listed below.

Unlike your old disposable filter, K&N's 33-2920 uses a unique pleated design with oiled cotton fabric layers sandwiched between two layers of epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens. The filter captures airborne dirt particles while allowing virtually unrestricted air flow into the engine. These dirt particles cling to the outside of the filter and become part of the filtering media.

The simple drop-in design makes it easy to add performance. Simply remove the disposable air filter and replace it with the new 33-2920, replacement air filter. This washable, reusable, high flow panel filter is designed to increase horsepower and acceleration, while providing excellent filtration.

K&N Air Intakes are guaranteed to increase horsepower in your Scion tC. The 69-8608TFK is an emissions legal intake system designed specifically for the 2005 and 2006 Scion tC. It comes with a, free-flowing metallic intake tube and K&N's washable, reusable air filter. The air filter is surrounded by a heat shield that helps keep the air cool when it enters your engine. The 69-8608TFK also utilizes the factory hydrocarbon trap and the air box lid for outstanding performance. K&N tests show a power gain of 7.58 horsepower @ 5022 RPM with this air intake.

For 2005 and 2006 Scion tC drivers who want an air intake that looks great under the hood, K&N offers a non-emissions legal option (no CARB exemption). Testing shows that the 69-8607TS, with a silver powder coated intake tube, and 69-8607TB, with a blue powder coated intake tube, gain 6 horsepower @ 5200 RPM. The 2 piece tube can be converted to a short ram or cold air style.

2007 GT40 Continuation Car is Re-creation of Original 1966 Le Mans Winner

Enthusiasts came, they saw and they put out money for the 2007 GT40 continuation series of the 1966 GT40 at SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) 2007 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“We brought the car to Las Vegas, Nevada,” said Jason Cenora of Hillbank Motorsports. “We’re the largest distributor of Roush engines and we manufacturer the GT40 under a continuation license with Safir Spares LLC, the holders of the GT40 trademark. Each GT40 has a K&N Engineering custom air filter designed for Roush.” Hillbank Motorsports is the Irvine, California retail division of Superformance Reproductions.

2007 GT40 is 100 percent street ready

The 427 small block fuel injected Ford engine is based off a 351 Windsor block. “Our GT40 makes 550 horsepower,” said Cenora. “It is a race prepped vehicle that is 100 percent street ready. We use K&N air filters because of efficiency, power output and we can count on a steady and consistent amount of airflow. K&N air filters are also reusable, which is a big plus. The GT40s start at $89,000 plus options. We sold around fifty at SEMA.”

The GT40 is a recreation of the original that beat Ferrari and finished in the top three positions in the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966. The cars which were prepared for the 1966 Le Mans win were American developed and fitted with a 427 cubic inch FE motor and a Ford built T44 transaxle. After Ford stopped racing privateer teams continued using GT40s all over the world. The GT 40 has reportedly won more prestigious race events than any other model road-race car in history.

“The vehicle was built to go head-to-head with Ferrari,” said Cenora. “The 2007 car is solid and accurate. More than two thirds of the 2007 GT40 parts are interchangeable with the original car including the monocoque style chassis. The body and frame act as one.”
