The cars used are authentic NASCAR-styled race-purpose vehicles with track records of winning numerous high-profile motorsports events. Some students use the school as a way to have some fun and learn significant skills behind the wheel. Others choose to use ProFormance Racing as a tool to earn their professional license and race competitively without the hassle of car transportation and logistics, set-up and car maintenance, a pit crew team or actually purchasing/owning a car.

ProFormance Racing's stock cars are built equally equipped and are specifically designed to appropriately handle the requirements of any driver. The school uses state-of-the-art racing technology and products, so it only makes sense that they encompass K&N products in every one of their race vehicles.

"K&N Filters don't get beat up, even when some of our drivers may give the cars a beating," says Roy Gangdal, General Manager of ProFormance Racing who has an extensive background in NASCAR. "Sometimes a student may go off track in the gravel and we can just get the filter all cleaned up for the next race weekend without having to go purchase a new one."

ProFormance Racing rolls into the historic Mission Raceway Park/The River's Edge Road Course in the Vancouver, British Columbia area on September 1, where race-enthusiasts can go for a ride-along with a PFR's professional driver. Those who can't be satisfied from the passenger seat can opt to jump behind the wheel of one of their NASCAR-style stock cars and drive for the entire day.

O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, Indiana hosted the Pingel Thunder Motorcycle Nationals. Adams Performance Kawasaki Team rider Jeremy Teasley qualified number one and ran the low elapsed time every round on his way to the BST Real Street win. "Rickey has also won three out of four races in 2009 in Super Sport on the AMA Dragbike circuit,” said team boss Coby Adams. “Jeremy also showed why he too is one of the best riders on the planet. Touching 180 mph is a real and rare accomplishment for most entries in the class, but Jeremy topped 188 in qualifying on his Unlimited Kawasaki ZX14.”

Teasley capped off the weekend with a 7.999 lap in his final round victory. “We’re taking the points lead and not looking back,” said Adams. “Now we are set on making an impressive run in the MIRock points chase. We’ve set our sights on the 7.80 barrier and going over 190 mph.”

Teasley came in second to his teammate Rickey Gadson in a tight all-ZX14 final in the closely matched Supersport class. “From the very start of the 2009 racing season, Kawaskai ZX14s have dominated AMA Dragbike’s Supersport, Real Street and Super Street Classes,” said Adams. “Rickey always does an impressive job riding anything you put him on. From the wheelies he had to deal with on the brute-powered Pro Street bike to his graceful control in Supersport, Rickey is a good rider. He is close to having another Supersport Championship wrapped up.”

The Adams Performance Team uses K&N air (KA-1406) and oil filters (KN-303C). “I’ve been using K&N since 1987,” said Adams, who also owns Adams Performance in Mooresville, North Carolina. “I use K&N on the motorcycles we build for our customers. It’s the best product out there, on and off the track.”

The Pingel Thunder Nationals was the fifth stop in the eight-race motorcycle drag racing championship series. Top motorcycle drag racers are in the hunt for the AMA Dragbike No. 1 plate. Competition is held in five professional class, Top Fuel, Funnybike, Pro Mod, Pro Stock and Pro Street with three semi-pro classes, Super Street, Super Sport and Real Street. There are also six sportman classes in the series which are Top Gas, Super Comp, Street Fighter, Super Eliminator, Pro ET and Street ET.

The next event for the team will be at the Schnitz Racing Summer Sizzler, August 22-23 at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina.

K&N has designed a performance air intake system (69-1017TTK) in black for the 2009 to 2013 Honda Fit with a 1.5 liter engine that is guaranteed to increase power.  K&N dynamometer tests show the 1.5 liter engine gained 4.53 horsepower at 6000 RPMs with this air intake kit.

The 69-1017TTK has lower restriction than the factory air box system. It draws air through a high flow washable and reusable chrome top K&N air filter (RC-9630) which is protected by a powder coated heat shield.

The heat shield directs incoming fresh air from the factory air inlet into the air filter and isolates the K&N air filter from the engine compartment for better performance. The heat shield assembly is installed into the engine bay using factory mounting points and attaches to the intake tube.

The 69-1017TTK integrates the mount from the vehicle’s mass air sensor. Remove the mass air sensor from your vehicle’s stock air box and install it into K&N’s less restrictive mandrel bent aluminum tube using the provided K&N hardware.

All the OE emissions devices are reused and the MAS placed in a location that works with the factory settings. The provided crankcase vent hose attaches to the aluminum intake tube. The 69-1017TTK can be easily installed in 90 minutes or less and is backed by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
