To add performance to the 340 hp Hemi engine, K&N offers a replacement air filter (E-1991) designed for more horsepower and excellent filtration. K&N cotton air filters flow more air than an OE filter while protecting your engine from debris.

The E-1991 is a washable and reusable air filter designed to last the life of your Durango Hybrid. K&N backs their OE replacement air filters with a million mile limited warranty. The E-1991 will be the last air filter your 2009 Dodge Durango Hybrid will ever need.

The unique round-shaped airbox of the 2009 Dodge Durango Hybrid is located in the center of the engine compartment. Installation of the E-1991 is as simple as removing the clamps located on the sides of the airbox, replacing the factory air filter with K&N's performance air filter and snapping the clamps back in place. Adding performance has never been easier.

In 2008 Dave Stewart introduced the LMB Streetfighters Series to Great Britain. This is a series that provides a road racing experience for people who might not get that opportunity otherwise, and it's open to virtually all class of motorcycles. Stewart manages the British Motor Cycle Racing Club, known as BMCRC, or "Bemsee", it's the world's oldest motorcycle racing club, founded in 1909.

With support from Streetfighters Magazine, K&N, and others, Richie Harrison and Harrison Brothers Racing successfully completed their project Honda CBR600FM in time for the first round of the series. Harrison says there were many occasions, working in his garage in near Siberian temperatures that he wondered whether he would ever finish, or if it was all worth it.

The challenges to get everything completed continued right up until the first round practice session. "I had warmed the engine through and brought it up to temperature, as I jumped onto the bike to go out for qualifying and snicked from neutral to first, at this point the engine cut out and the light bulb in my head switched on," reflects Harrison.

In what he refers to as a "token blond moment," Harrison forgot to short the side stand switch. "Yes you can laugh" he says. The good news is that all has worked out well since.

"I can't begin to describe how happy I am with how well the Streetfighters Magazine/HBR Honda has performed and we now sit firmly in fourth position in the Streetfighter B Championship." The next round takes place at Pembrey on the 10th and 11th of April.

"LMB is the series sponsor" explains Harrison. "It stands for Laurence M. Barry, he is a friend of the organizers, ThundersportGB, and supplies all the recovery vehicles used throughout the series for picking up the fallen or injured riders and machines."

"K&N has been great with their support of me and my younger brother Jonathan; they have provided us with products since 2004. K&N has helped us to some great race wins and more importantly have provided us with products that have been used throughout a number of championship titles. We have never had a single issue with a K&N product; we can just fit it and forget about it. They really are that good."

"Currently the HBR/Streetfighter Magazine 1991 Honda CBR 600FM is graced with a K&N Powersports high flow oil ilter and a K&N air filter element, and we will be using these throughout the 2010 season," remarks Harrison.

According to Harrison, the short term goal for the 2010 race series is for Harrison Brothers Racing to be a regular podium hound every weekend. "We had a great start to the year in round one and two at Mallory Park," says Harrison.

By the time they head to Pembrey, they expect to have improved the bike further, allowing them to run even closer to the front. "You can follow our progress throughout the year by logging onto our MySpace page or by following us on Facebook. Many thanks and I look forward to keeping you updated on our progress throughout 2010."

Darrell Wallace Jr. made history on a couple fronts by winning the season-opening NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Greenville Pickens Speedway in South Carolina on Saturday night.

First, he became the youngest driver to win an East Series race.

Second, he became the first African-American driver to win an East Series race.

Third, he became the first Drive for Diversity driver to win an East Series race.

As easy and 1-2-3, Wallace has started a revolution in racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.

"We were solid all day -- from practice to qualifying -- everything," said Wallace, who is 16 years, 5 months and 19 days old. "I can't thank the guys from Revolution Racing enough. They worked their tails off to get this car ready for this race."

Wallace became the youngest driver to win an East Series race by nearly four months, beating out Brett Moffitt, who won his first East Series race at South Boston Speedway in Virginia in 2009, when he was 16 years, 9 months and 27 days.

Wallace won the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 on a green-white-checker flag finish. He started alongside rookie Cole Whitt. Whitt beat Wallace to the starting line on the green-flag lap, but fell back on the final lap of the race. Whitt ended up in fourth place when the checker flag dropped.

"I kept spinning my tires," said Wallace. "I told myself to just relax -- you'll get them back. And that's what I did and I came home with the 'W.'"

Andrew Smith was second, followed by Jody Lavendar in third, Whitt and Ryan Gifford.

"It was an awesome run," Smith said. "We had an amazing run. We gave away a little track position in the beginning trying to save our tires -- maybe a little too much -- but we battled back in the end and beat our way for second."

Ryan Truex, the reigning East Series champion, led the most laps and was in contention for the win, but tangled with Whitt on the white-flag lap and crashed. He dropped all the way to 15th place and played a role in Whitt's fourth-place finish.

With Whitt and Truex out of the picture, Wallace had a clear path to the finish line.

"At the start, they told me to be patient," Wallace said. "I just saved my tires pretty much and picked them off at the end. It was just a good race. I learned a lot from Truex. He's pretty much the young veteran out of the group. I'd like to thank him for running me clean."

Lavender made up 17 spots during the race. After starting 20th, Lavender moved into the top five on the final restart. When Whitt and Truex collided, Lavender took advantage moving into third places.

"I've had so many seconds and thirds here, and I really want to win one bad," said Lavender, who earned the Featherlite Move of the Race Award after finishing 17th in the final race of 2010. "If a track ever owed me, it's this one."

2009 K&N HP Challenge Champion Jeg Coughlin Grabs No.1 Qualifying Spot in NHRA Pro Stock

During NHRA's inaugural 4-Wide Nationals, held this past weekend at Zmax Dragway just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jeg Coughlin laid down the third quickest pass in NHRA Pro Stock history to mark the end of a stranglehold current class champ Mike Edwards had held on the number one qualifying spot for the last twelve events.

There was no clear cut domination during the first three of the four qualifying sessions. The number one spot changed hands between Coughlin, Jason Line and Edwards, respectively, each session. Coughlin returned in the fourth and final session on Saturday afternoon to finish what he had started by stealing back the top spot with a track record setting 6.520 elapsed time, almost three full hundredths on the number two qualifier.

"We had really good air conditions this weekend for qualifying," Coughlin said. "With the track still being one of the newer ones on the tour, it's still a little green compared to some we compete on or you could have seen even better numbers."

It was an extra special weekend for Coughlin's Pro Stock team, not only the number one qualifier, which also earns him precious points in the prestigious 2010 K&N Horsepower Challenge, but also the special colors he was flying on his team's Chevy Cobalt.

His team welcomed all four members of the U.S. men's bobsled team, the first four-man team to earn a gold medal for the U.S. in the last 62 years.

As part of a special tribute to the team, Coughlin's Pro Stock car was adorned with the "Night Train" logo (the nickname the men's four-man team gave their sled) on the scoop plus a replica of the gold medal the team captured at the Vancouver Games.

During eliminations, the car wasn't quite as cooperative as it had been in qualifying, causing Coughlin to bow out in the first round.

"We had our pic of lanes and went with lane two, which historically had been the best lane for Pro Stock cars," Coughlin explained. "We got out there in the middle of second, then even third and fourth gear and it just wanted to push the car to the wall more and more with each gear change. I just wasn't able to keep my foot in the throttle and hang on to it for the finish line."

"Really though, I'm so excited to have qualified number one and to have added to our points for the chance to be a part of the K&N Horsepower Challenge again this year," he continued. "To have been able to win the K&N event three times already in seasons past, is just fantastic and I hope to be able to do so again."

"The K&N Challenge puts the best of the best in Pro Stock against one another in a three round shootout, one that we work very hard to get into from June to June. K&N puts so much into it for our class and continues to raise the bar each year by getting the fans involved, with our class in general and with the Challenge by offering them a chance to win huge prizes as well with the sweepstakes. That just makes this program even more special," Coughlin added.

Eight events remain in 2010 K&N Pro Stock Challenge points battle, in which the top seven drivers along with an eighth selected by fan vote, will compete for the title at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, June 24-27.
