In the Kart world if your preference is 2 or 4-cycle engines or extreme
Shifters, all classes have one thing in common; the vehicles are relatively
straight forward.
K&N's
RK-1000 Kart Airbox designed for K&N Filters
Many of the organizations that sanction Go Kart racing have gone to air boxes
due to noise restrictions. K&N Engineering developed an air box for Karts that
accepts one of two K&N washable/reusable High-Flow Air Filters.
Our K&N filter (RU-5006
or RU-5005) snaps into the
RK-1000 Kart Airbox, next, the
whole assembly is clamped on to the carburetor. The K&N Kart Airbox uses a 2 ½"
(inside diameter) straight or 20 degree angled-flange High-Flow Air Filter for
your 2 or 4 cycle kart. The RU-5006 features a 20 degree angled flange that is
1.5" in length and the RU-5005 offers a straight flange that is 1.5"in length.
Kart with K&N Airbox
In most cases, our K&N Kart Airboxes can be mounted onto the carburetor.
Typically, 2-cycle engines have only one cylinder and range in size from 100cc
to 125cc.
Some of the 2-cycle engines used in karting can reach around 19,000 RPMs and
produce up to 40 HP. Some classes use larger engines, with up to a 250cc
displacement.
"K&N Engineering has a history of providing higher air flow and performance
gains with increased air flow, "said K&N Engineering Powersports Brand Manager
John Jump. "K&N's Kart Airbox is pretty universal, built to the specifications
of racing organizations except it holds a K&N Air Filter."

The 2006 4.0 liter Toyota Tundra has the same updates as the 2005 model that
included new headlights, taillights, and an all-new base V6 engine.

K&N 77-9028KP Air Intake Installed in a Toyota Tundra
With the addition of K&N's new 77-Series High-Flow Performance Kit
(77-9028KP) 2005, 2006 Toyota Tundra owners can realize an 8 + horsepower gain.
K&N engineers were able to put a bigger filter and heat shield under the hood
because of the Toyota's extra space under the hood. K&N intakes are designed to
dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your truck's engine to utilize a larger volume of air than the OEM
air filter assembly. More air means more power and torque when you need it.
The 77-Series Intakes show-quality appearance has under-the-hood style with a
polished aluminum finish perfect for the Toyota Tundra.
Our 77-Series Intakes are designed to be installed with simple hand tools in
under 90 minutes, are street legal in most states and include the famous K&N
Million Mile Warranty®.

The 2006, 2007 and 2008 Honda Ridgeline is something truly different in the world of pickups.
The unibody construction, transverse-mounted 3.5 liter V-6, and
four-wheel-independent suspension is not typical pickup hardware.
77-3515KP Air Intake Kit for the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Honda Ridgeline
K&N 77-3515KP Air Intake Installed on a Honda Ridgeline
K&N Engineering has a polished aluminum 77 Series Air Intake (77-3515KP)
available for the truck that defies convention. K&N tests have shown a
horsepower gain of 9.70 @ 5159 RPM with this intake.
The intake, like all other K&N intakes, was engineered specifically to work
within the Ridgeline's computer specifications while maximizing power and
allowing air to flow with little restriction. The large cone K&N air filter and
aerodynamic tube removes much of the restriction caused by the factory intake
and allows a massive amount of air into the engine; this in turn translates
into power. The intake has a shiny polished tube for a great look on the Ridgeline's engine.
Our engineers also took advantage of the factory fresh air duct on the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Honda Ridgeline. The factory fresh air inlet in the bottom of the engine
compartment guides cool outside air into the intake track. The heat shield has
an opening that allows the fresh air intake duct to feed air to the K&N
high-flow air filter. The air filter is isolated from high engine temperature by
a heat shield which aids in increasing horsepower.
It takes about 40 minutes or less to install this kit and the oversize lifetime
K&N air filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is required
depending on driving conditions.

If you own a 2004 or 2005 Ford F-150 pickup with a 4.6L engine you already know it's one
of the best selling vehicles in America. K&N Engineering has met that marketing
demand by releasing a new 77-Series intake system, part number
77-2557KP.

77-2557KP Air Intake Installed in a Ford F-150
K&N tests have shown a horsepower gain of 9.31 @ 4724 RPM for this intake.
You may especially feel this added power and torque when accelerating and when
towing a load with this truck and air intake.
The F-150's engine compartment size allowed our engineers to utilize a large 6 inch filter.
This also allowed a bigger heat shield. K&N also
added a big radius filter adaptor that helps maximize power and allows air to
flow with little restriction.
We usually test at least 3 vehicles for each intake system, but this time we
used 5 Ford 150s. K&N Engineers made sure the design provided maximum power to
meet consumer demands. There is also a polished aluminum finish on this
K&N 77-Series intake system.
The filters on our air intake kits are washable and reusable. It takes about 90 minutes or
less to install this kit and the lifetime K&N air filter performs for up to
100,000 miles before service is required..

Winternationals
Lucas Oil Top Fuel Dragster
Top Fuel driver Morgan Lucas made it to the semi-finals at the 46th annual
CARQUEST Auto Parts Winternationals at Pomona Raceway. It was the 22-year-old’s
first outing as team manager and driver of his Lucas Oil dragster, a 500 cubic
inch Chrysler with a 300 inch wheel base and all aluminum motor.
“I run a K&N filter on the motor,” said Morgan Lucas. “It’s a good quality piece
and safer product for our vehicle. It can catch a lot of junk.”
Top Fuel dragsters are the fastest-accelerating vehicles in the world. They can
cover the quarter-mile in 4.4 seconds at speeds in excess of 335 mph. “My
super-charged, nitromethane-burning engine produces between 7,000 and 8,000
horsepower,” said Morgan.

“K&N Filters are easy to install and save us money,” said Morgan. “Saving time
is very important during a race.”
“The Winternationals were fun for the whole team,” said Morgan. “To leave Pomona
in third place and go to the semis after the first race of the year exceeds all
expectations.”
