For car enthusiasts, the national Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour is the real deal.
The participants range from having one car or a fleet of cars. Jay Leno provided
his 1932 Deuce Convertible and guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepard drove his modified
1969 Dodge Charger.
This year’s seven city tour started in Kissimmee, Florida and ended in
Englishtown, New Jersey with stops in Gainesville, Florida, Perry, Georgia,
Columbia, South Carolina, Salem, Virginia and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
K&N's 60-0410 Custom Air Cleaner Assembly
Patrick Thiele joined the southern leg of the 12th annual tour with his
1968 GMC Pick-up at Columbia, South Carolina. Thiele met the representatives
from K&N Engineering’s Truck and Trailer program, part of the 1500 or so
long-haulers that went to every stop on the tour.
“I use K&N Air Filters on all my cars and motorcycles,” said Thiele. “This was
my 68’s maiden voyage and I couldn’t have a better air filter on it. After
market parts are hard to find, but if I paid a million dollars for a filter, I
don’t think I could have found anything better than K&N’s 60-0410,
a custom air cleaner assembly designed for use on nostalgia engines.” K&N’
Engineering’s 60-0410
incorporates a K&N Air Filter and combines high air flow with great looks.
Mike White from Montgomery, Illinois did the restoration on my Tara- Blue GMC
Pick-up, said Thiele. “We polished the aluminum on the K&N assembly to match the
fins that are on my valve cover,” said Thiele. “I’ve always used K&N products;
you can’t beat the performance, the cost and the warranty.”
Participants spend a lot of time admiring cars, discussing cars and whenever
someone has a problem, working on cars. “There is not a lot of pressure on the
Hot Rod Power Tour,” said Thiele. “This is not your typical auto show because
cars are not in a glass bubble. We touch cars, help each other and even go
through puddles with our prized possessions.”

K&N Engineering’s Marketing and Sales Program Manager Brett Kinsfather was
on every leg of the 1300 plus mile tour in the K&N Truck and Trailer. “It’s
really good to know your customers,” said Kinsfather. “I was able to really get
to know the people who drive their classic or modified cars and who love their
cars and our K&N products. There is a lot of camaraderie.”
K&N Engineering has released a new Lifetime Replacement Air Filter (33-2910)
for the 2002 to 2007 Maruti Suzuki Swift 1.3L L4. The Swift takes its place between the mid-sized and compact
car segments.
Replacement Air Filter for the Maruti Suzuki Swift
Lift the hood of the Suzuki and the K&N Air Filter is custom designed to fit in
the factory air box. The drop-in design means adding performance is simple, just
remove the disposable air filter in the Maruti Suzuki Swift and replace it with
K&N's Air Filter (33-2910).
The washable, reusable, high flow flat panel filter is designed to increase
horsepower and acceleration while providing excellent filtration. The (33-2910)
is 1.75 inches in height (44mm) with an outside length of 13.5 inches (343 Mm)
and an outside width of 7.75 inches (197mm).
Harish Sosa is from the city of Mumbai, India. Sosa e-mailed K&N and wrote,
"There are thousands of vehicles here which suffer from lack of power and
mileage, due to inefficient filters. I installed K&N's Replacement Air Filter
and noticed and improvement in pick-up and torque. I am very happy with the
performance of this wonderful K&N Filter. Now it's fun to drive my car in heavy
traffic. I notice a difference when I shift and my acceleration has greatly
improved." Sosa also requested that we manufacture more filters for cars in India. This release will
help with his request and more are on the way.
Unlike disposable filters, K&N Air Filters use a unique pleated design comprised
of an oiled cotton fabric sandwiched between two layers of epoxy-coated aluminum
screen. The filters capture airborne dirt particles while allowing high volume
air flow. These particles than cling to the outside of the filter and become
part of the filtering media.
The pleating on K&N Filters for street vehicles are covered by our famous K&N
Million Mile Limited Warranty and will be the last air filter your vehicle will
ever need.
The 33-2910, replacement air filter, fits the following vehicles:

K&N Engineering has released a new 57-Series Generation II Fuel Injection
Performance Kit (57-6014)
for the 2005 to 2014 Nissan Xterra 4.0L V6, the 2005 to 2014 Nissan Pathfinder 4.0L V6 and the
2005 to 2014 Nissan Frontier 4.0L V6.
Air Intake Kit for Nissan Xterra, Pathfinder and Frontier
The 2005 to 2014 Nissan models are more powerful than their predecessors, modern but
still rugged and functional. By replacing your factory air intake assembly with
K&N's 57-Series FIPK, your engine will get more air with less restriction. More
air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engines RPM range.
Dynamometer tests at K&N Engineering's lab show a 14.25 horsepower gain at 5075
for the 2005 Nissan Frontier 4.0 liter. Function and looks were part of K&N's
development process for the 57-Series FIPK (57-6014).
"The factory intake tube is skinny and wide," said K&N Performance Kit Manager
Bert Heck. "We held onto the same theme for looks to give it the cool factor. We
put a lot of thought in making the tube and we also made really good power. K&N
engineers also made sure to keep the Nissan computer happy and placed the mass
air sensor in a critical position."
The FIPK (57-6014)
uses K&N's high-flow, washable and reusable air filter (RF-1014)
which performs up to 100,000 miles before service is required (depending on
driving conditions). FIPK's also come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited
Warranty.
"It's a piece of cake to put in," said Heck. "Most can do it in less than 90
minutes with simple hand tools."
The Jeep Liberty has stayed true to its Jeep heritage by offering a balance for
someone who enjoys the outdoors and has to commute within the city. It is
rugged, outdoorsy and can carry up to five people with their gear.
Air Intake Kit for 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Jeep Liberty 3.7L
K&N Engineering's Generation II 57-Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-1540)
replaces the factory air box, filter and intake tube. The result is more
horsepower. K&N's dynamometer shows a 6.36 horsepower gain at 5274 RPM. By
replacing your factory air intake assembly with K&N's FIPK air intake, the engine on the
Liberty gets more air with less restriction.
Designed for the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Jeep Liberty 3.7L V6, K&N's FIPK (57-1540)
has a big filter with a 7 1/2 inch base. "Access to the filter (RF-1048)
is a piece of cake," said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. "But keeping
all the factory parts in the right location was the biggest challenge for our
engineers. The air box was under the water reservoir for the windshield wiper
fluid. We built a tube heat shield and factored in all the parts and made it
look right."
K&N's FIPK (57-1540)
can be installed in 90 minutes or less with simple hand tolls and lasts up to
100,000 miles before service is required (depending on driving conditions). It
also comes with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
There is no other car with image and utility like the Dodge Magnum. Its bold
hot-rod lines stand out and the full-size Dodge Magnum has a lot of cargo
capacity. The crossover vehicle can do almost anything an SUV will do.
Air Intake Kit for Dodge Magnum, Charger and Chrysler 300
K&N Engineering has developed a 57-Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-1544)
that will add 7.3 horsepower at 5693 RPM. By replacing your factory air intake
assembly with K&N's 57 Series FIPK for the 2005 to 2010 Dodge magnum 2.7L V6 and the
2005 to 2010 Chrysler 300 with the 2.7 liter engine and the 2005 to 2010 Dodge Charger your engine gets more air with less restriction.
"We knew how popular this car would be," said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert
Heck. "The K&N FIPK (57-1544)
is straightforward and easy to install with simple tools. It also comes with the
famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty."
The Generation II 57-Series FIPK Kit uses K&N's high-flow, washable and reusable
air filter (RF-1048).
The Air Filter performs up to 100,000 miles before service is required
(depending on driving conditions).
