K&N Top Comp Racer has Shot at First Place

There is only one race left in the Mike’s Transmission Southern California Top
Comp Series and for one racer it is a chance to win. Jonathan Fiello drives a
2003 undercover dragster with a 635 cubic inch big block Chevrolet and is third
in overall points.
Fiello’s won his most recent race at California Speedway in Fontana, California. “It took five rounds to win,” said the K&N Engineering Process Design Engineer. “It was my first race after being off for three months. I had to miss two races in the series, if I was able to participate in every race I’d be at the top in points.”

The racers went 1/8 mile instead of ¼ mile because of high winds. In round
three Fiello had a .020 reaction time, 4660 @ 148 mph on a 4.65 dial in; round
four was a .011 reaction time, 4627 @ 149 mph on a 4.63 dial in and in round
five .016 reaction time 4.630 @ 151 mph on a 4.62 dial in.
Fiello uses K&N’s valve covered breather filters, K&N nozzle filters (E-3003) and K&N’s big block Chevy oil filters. Fiello said he would highly recommend K&N Products and use them if he did not work for K&N Engineering. “E-3003 keeps small contaminates out of my fuel injectors,” he said.

“My car’s performance was awesome,” said Fiello. “I thought I would be
rusty when I got back in the drivers seat. With my second pass it felt like I
was right back where I belonged.”
